Used SUV Resources Guide -
This page contains a collection of resources to help you gather information when looking for a used SUV.
Vehicle History Reports
One way of getting the best deal possible
is to run a
Vehicle History Report on any used SUV you are considering buying.
These reports are based on the vehicle identification number or "VIN", which
is located on the dashboard on the driver's side of the car, and can be viewed
through the windshield. A Used Car History Report based on this number will tell
you valuable information about the vehicle, such as:
- Did it have Water or Flood Damage?
- Has the Odometer been Rolled Back?
- Does it have a Salvaged or Rebuilt Title?
- Is it a Manufacturer Buyback/Lemon vehicle?
- Did it have Accident/Frame Damage?
All of the above are hidden problems you may not have been made aware of when looking at that used vehicle.
A Used Vehicle History Report will reveal these problems, and much more.
You may have seen free record checks advertised, and although they are a good
starting point, free record checks are not as comprehensive as a complete
History Report. So if you're seriously considering buying a used
vehicle, then make sure to run a complete Vehicle History Report on it.
